How is brass connector polished?

We mainly use chemical polishing: an environmentally friendly polishing process on the surface of brass. The traditional polishing method is to use tri-acid (nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid) for polishing, and the specific brightness can be adjusted according to the requirements.

The workflow for chemical polishing of brass connector is as follows:

(1) During the polishing operation, prepare a suitable brass polishing working fluid according to the instructions, and it is required to operate in a ventilated place at room temperature.

(2) Immerse the brass connector in the copper polishing solution, take out the copper after about 2-3 minutes, and immediately put it into clean water to fully rinse it to clean the residual potion on the workpiece.

(3) After the brass connector is polished and cleaned, it can enter the next process such as spraying and passivation. In order to prevent the brass connector from discoloring again, the brass connector should be air-dried and passivated.

(4) During the polishing process, when it is found that the copper gloss does not meet the requirements, a small amount of additives should be added to the polishing solution. The amount of additive is 1%-2% of the original polishing liquid, and the additive should be added in small amounts several times. If the polishing additive still does not meet the requirements, it should be replaced with a new polishing agent working bath for polishing.
